Al-Khanshali Estates is a boutique coffee producer and importer founded by renowned coffee professional and visionary, Mokhtar Al-Khanshali. Beginning his coffee career in Yemen in 2014, he immediately recognized that Yemen's combination of extreme high elevation, varietal diversity and unique microclimate created a near limitless opportunity for producing exceptional coffee. And for six years, through his company 'Port of Mokha', he did just that, earning both critical acclaim and mass media coverage. In 2020, Mokhtar recognized that in order for these Yemeni farms truly realize their potential he would have to take an even more active role on the farm level. It was from this that 'Al-Khanshali Estates' was born.

 

At Al-Khanshali estates we maintain complete control and either full or partial ownership of the farms we work with. These arrangements allow us to closely monitor and manage all aspects of cultivation and processing, and furthermore, enable us to experiment with dozens of cutting-edge processing techniques. The result? Exceptional and distinctive flavor profiles found nowhere else across the specialty coffee landscape.
